Just a quick update. I am currently looking for a second Netherland Dwarf doe with short ears, as a replacement for Reese’s. My herd buck Duke, turned 4 this year, so I plan on retiring him at 5 or 6. Since I don’t breed heavy, I can use my bucks into their senior years. I will also be using Snickers more if I can find the right doe. The last litter he sired, the Memorial Day Litter, two were showable, one was pet quality and the other one was an unknown color. That litter was out of Onyx my Black Silver Martin doe, so in the spring I’ll try that pairing again. Hopefully by then I will have a second ND doe, and a French Angora doe for Chester. In chicken news, one of my hens is sitting again. This time it’s only her on the nest so there’s only 3 eggs. The last time, two hens were sitting on the same nest and one of them was stealing other chicken’s eggs. I ended up with 13 chicks!
